Model: MetaVR Low Profile Rackmount VRSG

The MetaVR Low Profile Rackmount visual system is designed for environments that are space constrained, such as those for prototyping embedded training or augmented reality systems. This system uses Windows XP hyperthreading technology to enable the single CPU to work as a virtual dual CPU. Benefits of this configuration include its lower cost and lower heat and space requirements than those found in the Xeon line of Intel CPUs. MetaVR VRSG and WorldPerfect are multi-threaded applications that take advantage of the hyper-threading virtual dual CPU mode for enhanced performance.

Note that with the rapid advances in PC technology, a 1-unit configuration that was once considered to be an innovation for PC image generators requiring custom manufacturing is now a commodity-based system.
