MetaVR Product Pricing and Upgrades


Summary of MetaVR's product pricing

  • MetaVR includes the first one-year period of maintenance and technical support with the purchase of a software license or software maintenance upgrade.
  • During your active maintenance period, All software releases for a specific software application (such as version 5.1, 5.2, and so on) are available to you at no additional cost as downloads from our FTP site. You will not be able to run software releases issued after the expiration of your maintenance period until you renew the maintenance for your software license.
  • In certain cases, MetaVR develops additional features in its software products to meet customer requirements at no additional cost. (MetaVR determines whether it will perform this service on a case-by-case basis.)
  • MetaVR provides several non-classified terrain databases for official use within the United States with the purchase of certain software products at no additional cost. (See product descriptions for details.)
  • MetaVR offers volume pricing for VRSG with the purchase of 10 or more licenses.
  • MetaVR is the sole provider of all MetaVR software.

Product upgrades

You can purchase software maintenance which includes upgrade software for the version 5 of VRSG, and WorldPerfect, or version 2 of Metadesic Compiler if you have previously purchased a prior version of the same software product.

  • Upgrading to version 5 from either version 4 or version 3 of VRSG or WorldPerfect requires use of the USB security dongle that was previously furnished with the software. Once you have upgraded your software product to a new version, the dongle will no longer enable the previous version of the software.
  • Upgrading to version 5 from either version 4 or version 3 of VRSG or WorldPerfect is not covered by the maintenance agreement for version 4 or version 3 (those maintenance agreements applied to those versions only). You must purchase software maintenance to upgrade your software to version 5.
  • Upgrading to version 5 from version 2 of VRSG or WorldPerfect requires the use of the USB security dongle, which will be delivered with the version 5 upgrade of the software. Once you have installed and run the version 5 upgrade, you will no longer be able to run the earlier version.

With any of our complete system specifications, we can offer a custom quotation to meet your needs. In most cases, we offer custom quotes that match system performance with budgetary requirements.
