| Pictured here is an
eight-channel synchronized VRSG system built in our assembly
facility. The MetaVR system is accessible from both the back and
front via access doors. The removable SCSI Wide disk drives make
the system readily configured for either classified or unclassified
operations.
The rackmount visual channels in the system depicted here are
only 3.5 inches high allowing for eight visual channels, a simulation
host computer, uninterruptible power supply, integrated monitor
and keyboard, and network hub to all fit in a 60-inch high cabinet.
The VRSG
software licenses are available on a per channel basis so a single purchase
enables the user to maintain a classified and unclassified version
of the hard drive with a single license. To extend the systems
flexibility, each channel can be removed and used as a desktop
unit.
The synchronized multi-channel system uses components specified
by the Intel Open Arcade Architecture Reference Platform. MetaVR
is a founding member of the Open Arcade Architecture Forum (OAAF).
MetaVR was invited to participate in the initiative by Intel based
on our innovative application of the standard to the simulation
community. |
