Model: MetaVR Terrain Database Generation System

The MetaVR Terrain Database Generation System is a high-end platform that acts as a catalyst for creating and editing terrain for the MetaVR Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG). The system is designed to hold the large amounts of source data typically required for complex virtual worlds. The hardware is optimized for writing data to disk and for storage of your terrain data on approximately 12 TB of contiguous RAID5 disk space.

MetaVR Terrain Tools for ESRI ArcGIS can be easily understood by anyone with a general understanding of geospatial data concepts, regardless of experience with ArcGIS software. The tools enable users to create high-fidelity simulation and training environments without being a terrain expert.

As independent options, users can purchase commercial software packages to support their creation efforts, including editing of imagery, features, and source data.  ESRI's ArcGIS, which is delivered with this system, is required for running MetaVR Terrain Tools.
