The 15-ton Golan MRAP vehicle has a smoother and more futuristic look
than other MRAP vehicles. This armored, wheeled troop carrier is configured
to accommodate 10 troops in a highly protected environment. The crew compartment
is designed to provide a modular armor protection system. The four crew
side windows (two windows on each side) feature firing ports. As on other
MRAP vehicles, the weapon station is located at the top of the vehicle.
The Golan has a monocoque structure; the 4x4 automotive system axles and
suspensions link directly to the armored structure. The vehicle retains
good off-road maneuverability and tractability, and is particularly suitable
