| The M1117 ASV offers significant crew protection with multiple
layers of armor, which provides defense against small arms fire, artillery
projectile fragments, and land mines. Its lightweight armor enables the
vehicle to "roll-on/roll-off" C-130 military transport aircraft.
The M1117 has superior mobility, and agility. ASV variants can perform
a wide variety of missions including scout, infantry personnel carrier,
