Hard Drives for Database Storage

MetaVR™ offers two Western Digital (WD) drives for terrain database storage:

My Book® Mirror Edition™. A purchase of this hard drive is delivered preloaded with MetaVR round-earth (Metadesic) 3D terrain (your choice of either North America or Asia terrain).
My Passport Studio. A purchase of this small, lightweight, portable hard drive is delivered preloaded with MetaVR flat-earth (MDX) 3D terrain.

The WD My Book Mirror Edition has 2 TB of storage in a 6.5" x 6.0" x 3.87" footprint. This drive has a high-speed USB 2.0 interface.

Using GreenPower™ technology, this system, with its efficient convection cooling architecture, fan-less design, and power saving mode, is cool and quiet and consumes less power than standard systems.

WD My Book Mirror Edition
The WD My Passport Studio has 500 GB of storage in a tiny 4.99" x 3.18" x 0.71" footprint.

This high speed portable hard drive is perfect for recording scenarios and taking terrain databases on the road. You can save and access data at top speeds with the high-performance FireWire 800 interface. Also included are FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 interfaces for maximum flexibility. With the illuminated capacity gauge, you can see at a glance how much space is available on the drive.
