MetaVR used its Metadesic Compiler
to build a seamless 3D terrain of North America. The terrain
was constructed from 3 arcsecond elevation data with .3m,
1m, 5m, and 15m imagery covering a 1,037-geocell area. The
terrain tiles reside in a geocentric coordinate system and
are suitable for real-time visualization, simulation, and
synthetic vision. more>

to build 455-geocell 3D terrain of subsets of Central and
Southern Asia and the Middle East. The current area includes
terrain tiles using 15-meter LandSat imagery of Afghanistan,
Pakistan, northwest portion of India, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan,
Tajikistan, and the eastern section of Iran. The terrain also
includes 1-meter black-and-white imagery color fused with
15-meter color LandSat imagery of Iraq and Kuwait (approximately
a 70-geocell area) and 60 cm high-resolution natural color
insets of Baghdad, Basra, and Kirkuk. more>
