VRSG Interoperability With SAF

VRSG is completely interoperable with many semi-automated forces (SAF) systems, which are common artificially intelligent entity generators used in the simulation industry. Interoperability is accomplished in three ways:

  • VRSG renders SAF entities three-dimensionally without requiring any special configuration; you only need to ensure that the exercise IDs and terrain databases match and are correlated.
  • VRSG can be configured to transmit DIS Stealth PDUs so that VRSG appears on the SAF Plan View Display (PVD).
  • VRSG can also be controlled by SAF from the PVD due to its compliance with the Stealth PDU protocol.

VRSG appears as an arrow  on the ModSAF PVD when used in the DIS Stealth mode.

VRSG supports the Stealth PDU protocol found in ModSAF version 3.0 to provide full control over the viewpoint from the PVD.

CTDB virtual worlds created with MetaVR WorldPerfect are completely correlated with VRSG's 3D representation. Using VRSG and WorldPerfect enables you to create fully correlated 2D and 3D databases for cases such as team training.
